Malfoy's Patronus, part 3 of 3
Malfoy's Patronus, part three. The happy memory question comes back, she kisses Harry to prove a point, and ends up shouting 'Tell me you like me too, right now! You stupid, idiot Potter!'
Malfoy's Patronus 3 #malfoid
Malfoid x Harry is the fan pairing of Harry Potter with Malfoid, the girl version of Draco Malfoy. It is Drarry with Draco redrawn as a girl: the same rivalry, the same insults, then a blush. None of it is canon.

Malfoid x Harry is a ship: fans pairing Harry Potter with Malfoid, the girl version of Draco Malfoy that went viral on X in late September 2026. The “x” is fandom shorthand for a romantic pairing, so Malfoid x Harry, Harry x Malfoid and Harry Potter x Malfoid all mean the same thing.
It is not a new ship so much as an old one in a new outfit. Fans have paired Harry and Draco since the early 2000s under the name Drarry, and AO3 lists 76,769 works in the Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter tag[2]. Malfoid x Harry keeps everything that made Drarry work, the rivalry, the class snobbery, the slow thaw, and changes only Draco.
A one-page comic: she grabs Harry by the tie and yells 'Stupid Potter', the argument gets closer and closer, and it ends in a kiss and a quiet hug a few moments later. Enemies to lovers in six panels.
Stupid Potter.. 💚 #malfoy #malfoid
Every Malfoid x Harry joke runs on one beat: she insults Potter, then she blushes. That is the tsundere formula from anime, and Draco was halfway there in canon already. He picks fights with Harry for seven books and keeps showing up wherever Harry is.
The art leans on that hard. We went through the 28 posts in our fan art gallery by hand: 19 of them put Harry in the picture or put “Potter” in her speech bubble. Malfoid on her own is a character design. Malfoid x Harry is the story people actually share.
The fan fiction tells the same story with numbers. AO3 has 665 works tagged Female Draco Malfoy, and 506 of them, 76%, are also tagged Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter[1]. The next most common pairing in that tag, Hermione and Ron, has 56. For most writers, a girl Draco exists so she can end up with Harry.
Why Malfoid Works Better Than Ginny YouTube
The best Malfoid x Harry comics don’t invent new plots. They take a scene fans already know from the books or films and change one thing: Draco is a girl, and she likes him. Here is where each one comes from. The last two are the ones Drarry writers have leaned on for years[3].
Harry and Draco first meet being fitted for robes; Draco talks about brooms and calls Hagrid a savage. Sachi_Hwa's comic replays it with a chatty Slytherin girl Harry doesn't recognize.
The robe shop, part 1 of 2
Part one of Sachi_Hwa's robe-shop comic. Harry meets a very pretty, very chatty Slytherin girl at Madam Malkin's who asks about brooms and Quidditch. He has no idea who she is yet.
This was probably their actual first meeting.. (1/2) #malfoid #malfoy
Draco offers his hand and Harry says no. The fan game Draconia opens on this moment, and several AO3 stories start from it.
In sigmman's three-part comic her Patronus finally works and comes out a stag, like Potter's. It borrows a later canon rule: a Patronus can change shape to match the person you love.

Malfoy's Patronus, part one. Harry casts a perfect stag while she watches from a bush, then she tries the same spell and gets a fizzle: 'Why can't I do that?!'

Draco took Pansy Parkinson. In oginon07's Malfoid x Harry manga she mocks Potter for having no partner and ends up going with him.
Harry nearly kills Draco in a bathroom with a spell he didn't understand. Fans use it for angst, not jokes.
Draco won't say for sure that the swollen face in front of him is Harry, and later Harry flies back into the fire to save him. Drarry fans have argued from these two scenes for years.
If you want the ship in one sitting, read the two series that run longest, in order. The Malfoid comics page has every series laid out part by part.
Sachi_Hwa’s robe-shop comic is two posts. Part one is the meeting: Harry has no idea who the pretty girl at Madam Malkin’s is. Part two is the turn: Hagrid arrives, she calls him a savage, and Harry decides she is the worst. It ends with her walking off wondering whether they could have been friends, which is the whole premise in two pages.
sigmman’s Malfoy’s Patronus is three posts and gets more romantic with each one. In part one she watches Harry cast a perfect stag and fails at the same spell. In part two her Patronus turns out to be a stag, and Snape asks how she knows what Potter’s looks like. Part three ends with her kissing Harry to prove a point and shouting at him to say he likes her back.

Q: 'What sort of person do you despise most?' Malfoid describes messy black hair, round glasses and green eyes in suspicious detail. By page four the Daily Prophet runs 'Miss Malfoy's ideal man?'

The single pages are shorter and often funnier. Janggondan’s party game puts Ginny next to Harry for “Kiss the person on your left” and lets Malfoid’s face do the rest, and Hermione turns up as the rival in the love-triangle drawings.
AO3 is where the long stories are. Search the tag Female Draco Malfoy and add the relationship Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter; that cuts out almost nothing, because three in four works in the tag already have both[1]. Then filter by rating: the tag includes 150 Explicit and 113 Mature works, so pick General or Teen if you want something safe for all ages.
The newest story written for this wave is Harry Potter and the Girl Who Noticed Him, a finished 71,900-word novel. The most-liked older one in General or Teen is victory at all costs, a 3,148-word pureblood society story. Sometimes You Just Know What You Want builds on the refused handshake and ends at a Yule Ball. Our Malfoid fanfiction page lists twelve picks with word counts and ratings, and covers the Korean web novel The Villainess Malfoy, where a girl Malfoy is top of the class and Harry is the troublemaker who finds out her weakness.
Not every Harry and Draco fan is happy about this. The best-known complaint is a thread on r/AO3 that asked why straight men suddenly loved an enemies-to-lovers ship once one of the boys was redrawn as a girl, and that pointed out the name ends in an incel slur[4]. For writers who have kept Drarry going as a gay romance for twenty years, the trend can look like the ship being straightened out.
The two camps mostly don’t overlap. The girl version lives on X and in comics; Drarry lives on AO3 and Tumblr, where the slash version still far outnumbers the girl version. The Malfoid controversy page has the rest of that argument, and who is Malfoid covers the character herself.
No. In the books and films Draco is a boy, he and Harry never date, and the epilogue has Harry married to Ginny and Draco to Astoria Greengrass. The pairing exists only in fan art, fan fiction and fan games.
Most fans just use Drarry, the name for Harry and Draco since the early 2000s, sometimes with fem or Malfoid in front. On AO3 the pairing is tagged Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter together with Female Draco Malfoy.
On X, under the artists' own accounts. Sachi_Hwa's robe-shop comic and sigmman's three-part Malfoy's Patronus are the most-read series; this page and the fan art gallery link every post.
Yes. Draconia, a free visual novel on itch.io released October 2, 2026, retells Harry's seven years at Hogwarts with Malfoid in them. In the other fan game, Pureblood & Prejudice, you play a new student, not Harry.
